Well today things took a U-turn. Got up late had a feeling that something bad was going to happen and i dont know whether i will call it bad or something else because i feel kinda bad doing this. The game and dissertation is now cancelled. Yes its true, as a single person doing that game is kinda hitting myself so it has come to a conclusion that i will be doing a game with a fellow game designer and my only close friend in college Sandy Marcus AKA Sanjay.K. The game he is doing is a racing game that will happen in the city of Chennai. The cars and all the stuff in the game is supposed to make it look that the game is in India. If u ask me its a simple enough game we need 25+ car models, environments, people (maybe). If we start now within 2 months i think the game will have sufficient assents to keep the game liquidated. Sadly i feel the story is kinda bad. I think we will sit and redo the story with a proper story line. Tomorrow we will be brain-storming and...

Well today was one of the most boring days ever. My system was hanging like hell so i had to format it. Thank You ASUS!!, i love thouse guys. They created a partition that would boot when u press F9 and then there is a Win7 installation and all the drivers and stuff is installed bringing my laptop to its factory status. Well now its the long haul to install all the softwares its gonna be a long night...

Well officially i think the winter season is upon us in Chennai. Today morning was extremely cold and raining too. The bath was in cold water BRrrrrrr... I got up late thanks to the cold weather too. Well started working and finished the officer who comes in the chase scene. I made two versions of him one looking american and the other somewhat Indian. This is the american version of the Indian Traffic Police XD... This is the deliberatley tanned American who tries to look like an Indian Traffic Police officer... hehe... This will maybe be how the scene will look in the game, maybe... Making this guy took me some time but i think it was worth it, i have decided to do something in automobil modelling or some inorganic modelling for now. I was thinking of making the GMC Topkick 4x4 that is, IronHide in Transformers but sadly i cant find any good blueprints for it. Searching for a good SUV blueprint. Most probably i will start with the mitsubishi outlande...

Today was a less productive day, went to college. There was no one in college except for sanjay who came late. There was nothing done in the intern game as there was no programmers. No other desinger showed up. I told Harish sir that for the cut scene where the police catches the DUI suspect was to be done as an animation he agreed to it. Now its up to the programmers. Started work on the sketches of the DUI suspect and the police, will try to make them animatable too. Nothing else was done today. It was mostly boring when the electricity went and i hope the coming days wont be as bad as today.

Well today sucked, its cold outside. Got up late and went to college late too. Well in college i was the only 3rd year game designer and after sometime i have vivian,sneha,christe and zaid to keep me company. No work was done today. Lucky thing was it didnt rain today as it completley clouded and i thought it would rain when i had my laptop out, thank god it didnt rain. Cash is running out very quickly these days :(, i dont eat much but then too unwanted things money is going waste i dont know why, hmm... Well today i guess thats it, most probably i will do something in the night i will try to update what i did tomorrow...

Happy Diwali to All!! Well today i got up hearing the explosions outside and then couldnt sleep anymore so had to put my in ear headphones and listen to music. After sometime the current started to flicker and low voltage my laptop wasnt working and so sadly no work was done for today. Now i dont have much time left to do anything and i am not in the mood to do anything. Maybe i will sit and do the GDD or not, the rain is taking a heavy toll on my body, have been sneezing all day. I hope i dont get a fever or something. Well today was a total waste the only thing i did was watch movies and play when the current came back. Maybe tomorrow will be better...

Today was the best Rock concert ever by the gods, i mean the thunderstorms in chennai was like so awesome XD. Well i tried to work but the lightning and thunders were getting brighter and louder so i stopped work and waited for the storm to pass. Today i didnt go to college as i would never take my laptop out even if there is only a drizzle, because i damaged my old HP Elitebook like that. Today i mostly worked on the cut scenes for the traffic game where the cops catch the DUI driver (driving under influence). So i finished the lorry, police car and the background. This is the background for the chase scene... This background took most of my time, luckily the buildings i had some stock art so i replicated them, the trees and sky took some time to do then the street lamp was traced... This is the cop that chases the DUI suspect... This police car was redrawn from a taxi model...sadly indian police cars look more like taxi's :( This is the tipper lorry the ...

Well today usual things, going to college sitting simply and playing games... After so many boring hours decided to start on my GDD (Game Design Document) for the game. And the game name has been decided, " The Link". Sounds cool na ... XD Started the GDD and after two lines stopped and started to check out the existing GDD's so i took two GDD formats from the internet and they proved to be really confusing to understand. In the beginning itself it was about things i never ever imagined for this leg of pre-production. So now more confused than ever. Need to consult with Harish sir for this too... Well i did a cover page for the GDD, this is my first draft so it wont look that great... :) Well the design is mainly showing a neuron fibre, and the quote the 'journey to the unknown' is to show that we cant expect what we are going to see in the game. 23rd October 2011, A perfect Sunday, slept like anything. Started collecting information on virtual reality, after collecting all information it was like VR (virtual reality) felt like too muddy a topic for me. It was too general, if someone would ask me what was the goal i tried to achieve by doing that i would simply have no answer to that. So from VR i have decided that i would do it more concentrated around the fact that it is a better way of showing 3D computed generated environments. So its like this, computed generated images or environments are mostly seen by us either in a 2D or 3D format. CGI is mostly 3D but this is seen with the help of monitors that is 2D, there is no depth in them. In the recent years companies like Nvidia have tired to bring 3D into this perspective. In the beginning it was the red and cyan type of 3D and now the new stereoscopic 3D is available that enables 3D in your system. Nvidia 3D stereoscopic work...

22nd October 2011 The finalization of the dissertation and the game has been done now a formal presentation with the adequate documents are pending. The concept and topic was approved by Harish sir so now collection and data storage will start. After that the data needs compilaton, now this sounds like a program XD... With the intership i completed and gave level intro screens to Ravi, our programmer, for integration. Well if there is any changes i will have to do... The level intro screens for now... The screen offers tips about roads and safe use of them. Some of the road signals that can be commonly seen are also shown with names as a person would easily remember them if told visually. Well the days of intern is about be over time to start information gathering and upgrading my arsenal as well. Havent done any works for days so a bit rusty so i hope i can cover a lot of things in the coming days :)

20th October 2011 Today was one of those days that go purely wasted. I wasnt feeling good so took medicine yesterday night and woke up at 6 PM today... now thats hibernation XDD. Well after that I decided to do some thing on modelling for game and then thought of creating a level design for UDK or unity. I will start it soon. The idea struck me today...
