Well yesterday was a really productive day, today my head was literally hanging on my head, it was hurting too. My eyes were barely open, in the afternoon we went back to room for some shut eye. At 6 we returned back to college, i started to work on the menu screens, yesterday i tried to do something for the options menu. For the menu we decided with 3 options Display, Gameplay and Sound. This was my first iteration, i was really tired and my head wasnt working when i did this so it looks really bad... These were the first designs, i tried staying true to the previous colour scheme...    This is the gameplay menu, it will house the options such as subtitles and controller configuration... This is the sounds menu, here the sounds can be adjusted... The display panel where there are options like fullscreen and screen resolution...

Well thanks to my G74 today was a really productive day we were able to do a lot of things. I was really pleased that my system didnt hang when i was using 5-6 programs simultanesouly and it was so fast too. I got up arward today my eye was red for the enitre day and couldnt help it too.. Menu screen. For the menu screen of our game we decided to use a car dashboard so for that i took the dashboard concept of Chevorelt Captiva and that its big enough to show the menu and stuff... Electronics company logo. I asked Zaid if he could help me with a logo for the GPS company in the game. He came up with a concept and i really liked it. He sent me a few iterations and we finally finalsed on this. After that i made a few alterations to the colors and worked on the texture to give it more alien look. and this is what came out... Well things sure came today with a bang... the dates for the final submissions are now at May so we have less than a month to get the works done and shown to them and the jury from UK will be coming by that time too. We got the dissertation forms and my final projects form ready. I have decided to work on scaleform as it will be a pivotal role in making our game so i hope it will prove to be a really good dissertation topic too. Flash Classes... Well thanks to the portfolio we are now having classes for Flash just the basics, i mean some animation and scripting to get things started. Night Stays... We also got the forms for the night stay and gave it to the administration and we will be in college till next month. Days without sleep are ahead of us.

Well after a lot of trial runs i guess i got a good enough logo, as i mentioned yesterday the style of maori was in my head. I did a lot of researching, the pointed curves and intricate details made it so hard to replicate, i wanted to my logo be simple and at the same time different too. So these were some of my first works... sorry i took a screenshot using my mobile, this was in the college system. After some more looking around i found more interesting designs that i can use, and so this logo was made... Its an eye with some modifications and slanted, well when it was made slanted it looks like a mother holding a child, well thats just me... I started work on the visiting card design and well as i mentioned i wanted to keep things simple as possible and not to jam too many things in one page. Well tomorrow i will show to Jai sir and see if this will be ok and then the design will be further refined.

Well today was one of those days when getting up feels like so bad and you just want to stay in bed. Well work was piling up and so had to get up and start. With the research i did a few days back on the logo for my card I finally decided to use the inspiration of Maori. Well it would be a good idea to tell about them here... Well finally i finished mass effect 3, the most anticipated game. It was worth the money i spent on it and truth be told, i really didnt like the ending. There were three choices and all of them killed my character. Well at least it was over. After i finished playing the ending was in my head for the entire night i felt sad for the guy, i mean all the things he had to go through to save his friends and family and finally sacrificing himself. I read the wiki entry and just like me many didnt like the way the game ended. It was a semi happy ending, the game had its moment that i will keep remembering and some of them which i couldnt stop laughing and others where i couldnt stop feeling sad. Well the game ended without a bang, i had an entire galaxy behind me and all i did was kill myself, i dont know they said that there is another ending that all the ships will kill the reapers well i didnt get that option. Well today was a day of many things happening. So i think i will put them down one by one so that it will be easier. Today started off with something rather unusual and it was that my mobile was having speeds of 1mb+ i was confused and started to see more, youtube in HD and all those stuff. I had nearly 1.3 gb balance in phone which i finished in one night and now the remaining balacne is 100mb. Well it was fast. I stumbled upon a lot of things yesterday and on of those is the title of this entry too...First off... Microsoft Windows 8 Developers Preview Yes its out and i have finished downloading the 3.3gb 64-bit version of it, its there in deepak's system (from which i am typing this entry too) but he is scared that it will erase the data on his system. Well today too I didn't get my laptop back from service I called them in the morning and they told that the new HDD has come but it will take them time to see if the problem was still there. So I again called in the evening to know the status and they told to call back after sometime only to know that both my memory and HDD are causing the bluescreen. They told that they will get the memory replaced by Monday which I don't trust they will do in time I told them the urgency of the situation and they said that they will return my laptop as soon as they can. I really don't want to end up with an other bluescreen when I am working so I am being patient with them I hope they return my laptop ASAP. In the meantime I think I will start with my dissertation. The topic that I have chosen fir my dissertation is 'cinematics in games '. I will start researching from tomorrow as it will give me something to do as for the past two weeks the only thing I have done is sleep. I real...
