Proud to be a gamer...
Well today i had a weird wake up call, i think it was almost 4am in the morining when i heard someone cry as if they got stabbed. I thought it was deepak, as he was sick, then i saw deepak also woke up and it was vivian who made the weird noise. Well i lost sleep after that and then at 6 went downstairs to get coffee and started to read the newspaper. Suddenly i saw something that made my heart pound in elation.
An article called, "Guru of games" in The Hindu newspaper. It was an interview with the lifetime president of Eidos Interactive. Ian Livingstone a legend in the gaming industry, his interview was somwthing that gave me more hope i am posting the link here.

“There are three parts involved in making a game — the design, art and animation, and technology. I think game design in its mechanics and replay is the reason why people play. The technology and graphics are also important. They realise the designer's dreams. Creating a game is a team process. It is important for a design to be original in its concept, look and feel and mechanics. It has to be elegant and simple enough for people to intuit while playing. At the same time, there has to be an increasing level of difficulty so they don't get bored. At the end of the day it's about having fun.”
The above lines are so true, “The key concept at the heart of game designing is computer science. While working on the report, we found that courses in game design institutes teach the philosophy of gaming rather than the skills required to create games. Schools are teaching children how to use software rather than teaching them how to make applications,” says Ian. He adds, “Our number one recommendation for the UK government is to have computer science in the national curriculum. I'm delighted that it's building momentum.” Wow our gaming courses XDD
Workz
Well reached college today and there was a blood donation camp today at first i thought not to go and well later me Prashanth and Deepak went to give blood, they tried once but could not find the vein and tried another one, i was a little bit scared, then i felt something wrong and then after sometime they stopped it and said to go, there was some initial swelling at the second site and a resonalbe amount of pain but then later on i felt that something wet was in my hand, i thought the worst, internal bleeding, OMG!!! but then it subsided and now the pain is minimal and is there only when i try to lift my hand.
The house is still under work, my left hand is at 50% capacity thanks to two holes that are there. Hope the pain goes away soon, i didnt feel like this when i donated blood for my mom's operation.
